In April our students will learn about Holy Week and Jesus’ ultimate sacrifice for us. Plenty of emphasis will be given to Jesus’ great power over death and the devil on Easter Sunday. The next weeks will focus on our rejoicing with the disciples as Jesus shows Himself to them to encourage them and get them ready to tell others the great news of His resurrection and saving grace. We will talk about Jesus’ ascension into heaven the last week of April.
Our theme for April is “butterflies.” With this theme we will watch small caterpillars grow, form their chrysalides, and emerge as butterflies before we release them outside. We tie this into our Bible stories as we explain a butterfly represents new life for the caterpillar just like Jesus became new life for us on Easter Sunday.

Spring is here! Our annual spring flower fundraiser begins this month. This year we are offering calibrachoa, African daisies, and geraniums. We will be accepting orders for flowers beginning April 19th and will end on May 3rd. The flowers will be ready for Mother’s Day weekend. (At the time of printing we do not have prices to advertise. Please check the bulletins in April for the prices.)
We would like to mention a special thank you to the Thrivent members who have designated their “choice dollars” to the preschool. We received more than $630.00 in 2025 that was given to the preschool by Thrivent. These dollars are split between our scholarship and general funds to help keep our preschool going strong. Thank you!
